The Queensland Government has commenced a new Building Policy Framework for their building construction and maintenance projects. The new framework is in place from 1 July 2023 will commence for non-BPP projects.

The 2022 edition of AS/NZS5601.1 has now been published. As per the provisions of the Safety Regulation section 6, the 2022 edition will become the safety requirement in Qld six months after the date of publication.

The national minimum wage will increase the gross amount to $812.60 per week or $21.38 per hour. This increase is applicable to adult apprentices and any employee currently on an approved traineeship.
