Call for Expressions of Interest – Women’s Plumbing Alliance Subcommittee
The Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ) is seeking expressions of interest from members who are passionate about supporting and advancing women in the plumbing and gas industry to join the Women’s Plumbing Alliance (WPA) Subcommittee. The WPA plays an important role in driving initiatives that recognise, connect and empower women working in the plumbing and gas industry, while also supporting businesses to build more inclusive and sustainable workplaces.
As the industry continues to face workforce shortages, increasing the participation and retention of women presents a significant opportunity. The WPA Subcommittee will help shape the direction of programs and initiatives that support this goal, ensuring they are practical, relevant and industry-led.
The Subcommittee will support initiatives across three key areas:
- Recognise – celebrating the achievements of women in the industry and raising visibility
- Connect – creating networking opportunities and building supportive industry connections
- Empower – delivering professional development, leadership and mentoring opportunities
We are looking for members from across the industry who are interested in contributing their ideas, experience and time to help drive meaningful change. This includes business owners, employees, apprentices and industry stakeholders.
Being part of the Subcommittee is an opportunity to:
- Contribute to shaping the future of the industry
- Support workforce development and diversity initiatives
- Build your professional network
- Be involved in delivering impactful programs and events
If you are interested in being part of the Women’s Plumbing Alliance Subcommittee, please register your interest by emailing events@mpaq.com.au by 24 April 2026.
