Plumber/Drainer

Position Overview The Qualified Plumber is responsible for performing regulated plumbing and drainage work in accordance with Queensland’s Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018, associated regulations, and QBCC licensing requirements. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Key Duties & Responsibilities Duties • Install, maintain, repair, and modify water supply systems, fixtures, and associated pipework. • Perform regulated drainage work including waste systems, stormwater connections, and sewage systems. • Carry out specialised tasks such as backflow prevention, irrigation systems, gasfitting, or fire protection work when appropriately endorsed. • Ensure compliance with Queensland plumbing laws, regulations, and codes. • Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices. • Supervise apprentices, trainees, or provisional plumbers (if applicable). • Report suspected unlicensed plumbing or drainage work to relevant authorities. • Provide clear communication and professional service to clients and stakeholders. Skills & Qualifications • Current QBCC Occupational Plumber Licence, contractor or supervisor licence. • Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent. • Knowledge of Queensland plumbing laws, regulations, and codes. • Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills. • Current driver's licence.
